Understanding the body and brain states that support self-discipline, problem solving, and creativity

Have you ever wondered why your self-discipline and willpower often disappear when you’re the most stressed? Or why you sometimes get your best ideas in the shower? This short workshop builds on the pre-requisite Stress Busting Success – The secret to thriving by optimally using your body’s three operating systems, to help you maintain self-discipline as well as access your problems solving and creativity in order to make the best choices for yourself and your work.

  • To provide an understanding of self-discipline, problem solving, and creativity within the framework of our body’s three operating systems.
  • At the end of this workshop you will understand why self-discipline falters during times of stress and what you can do about it. 
  • You’ll also understand how to create the body states needed for self-discipline, problem solving and creativity, and how these same body states support immunity and healing.
  • This is a theoretical, practical, and participatory course.
  • Lecture followed by a practical exercise that demonstrates or applies the concepts.
  • Course is delivered via Zoom.
